Itinerary For Sightseers

MORNING

YOUR MORNING

Your day begins at Hamble Point Marina, where your skipper will meet you on arrival and run through a quick safety brief before you step aboard. Once everyone is settled, we’ll ease away from the pontoon and head east towards Portsmouth.

The run into Portsmouth is always a highlight, with the harbour’s naval history on full display. If you’d like to slow down for a closer look at the Historic Dockyard — home to HMS Victory, the Mary Rose and the Royal Naval Museum — we’re happy to adjust the pace.

From here, we’ll follow the line of the Solent’s well-known sea forts. These 19th-century structures — Spitbank, Horse Sand and No Man’s Land — are striking from the water and make for impressive photos as we pass.

As we continue westbound, you’ll also catch sight of Osborne House, Queen Victoria’s former summer retreat. Seen from the water, it offers a glimpse of its grand terraces and gardens before we carry on towards the Needles.

LUNCH

LUNCH

The cruise along the north side of the Isle of Wight offers views across Cowes, Yarmouth and Lymington, and we’ll pass close to Hurst Castle, Henry VIII’s coastal fortress guarding the western Solent. Its long shingle spit and open views make it one of the most distinctive landmarks on this stretch.

Approaching The Needles and Alum Bay, the scenery shifts dramatically. The chalk stacks and coloured cliffs are a standout moment of the day, keep an eye out for dolphins, which occasionally pass through the area.

You can choose to anchor nearby for lunch on board with drinks, or continue on to a marina restaurant. We’re more than happy to recommend places we trust if you’d like suggestions.

AFTERNOON

YOUR AFTERNOON

After lunch, we’ll turn into the quiet waters of Newtown Creek, a tranquil spot ideal for paddle boarding, a swim, or simply unwinding with a drink while taking in the scenery. The area is rich in wildlife, and seals are often seen around the entrance.

When you’re ready, we’ll make an unhurried return to Hamble Point Marina. Once ashore, your skipper will help with bags and ensure everyone is comfortably on their way.
